On November 13, 2017, Haichuang Medical was awarded the title of High-Tech Enterprise.

In the first half of 2015, our company jointly established “Zhejiang Haichuang Medical Devices Co., Ltd.—Hangzhou Dianzi University New Medical Materials and Devices R&D Center and Industry–University–Research Collaboration Base” with Hangzhou Dianzi University. This R&D center will be dedicated to the research and development of cutting-edge medical technologies, striving for genuine independent innovation—representing an innovative breakthrough for Haichuang as a manufacturing enterprise. The center will provide systematic solutions for product line upgrades and replacements, as well as for physicians and patients, thereby delivering robust technological support.

Industry–University–Research bases leverage the respective strengths of each stakeholder to establish advanced, integrated systems for research, development, and production, thereby realizing comprehensive synergies in operation and effectively combining the various production factors necessary for technological innovation. Grounded in the needs of local high-tech industrial development and supported by prestigious universities, these bases serve as R&D platforms, incubation platforms, and industrialization hubs that facilitate the translation of research findings into practical applications and the commercialization of innovations.

The R&D center brings together numerous highly qualified research professionals in related fields, covering multidisciplinary research and applications in medical materials, physics, mechanical engineering, and other areas. Hangzhou Dianzi University is a teaching-and-research-oriented institution that integrates multiple disciplines, including engineering, science, economics, management, humanities, law, education, and the arts. The university is jointly established by Zhejiang Province and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and it is the first information-technology-focused institution among those co-established by the commission. The campus is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

The institution traces its origins to the Hangzhou School of Aviation Industry Finance, founded in 1956, which was initially an armed-industry public institution. It is one of China’s earliest higher education institutions with information technology as its core discipline. With approval from the State Council, it was reorganized in 1980 as the Hangzhou Institute of Electronic Industry and renamed Hangzhou Dianzi University in 2004. Over the years, the university was successively under the jurisdiction of several central ministries and commissions, including the Fourth Ministry of Mechanical Industry, the Ministry of Electronics Industry, and the Ministry of Information Industry. Since 2000, it has operated under a management system characterized by joint construction by the provincial and ministerial levels, with primary oversight vested in the province, and has been designated by Zhejiang Province as a key university for development as a teaching-and-research-oriented institution. Collaboration between Hangzhou Dianzi University and HaiChuang in industry–university–research partnerships will unlock new avenues for innovation and tap into significant technological potential, thereby laying a robust and reliable foundation for product development.
